Terms of service
Draft for legal review. Not yet in force. A lawyer will review this text before any school uses the service with real data.
Last updated: 17 October 2026
These terms set out how schools may use PrimeCrux, and what each side does.
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are between PrimeCrux, a product of Prime Digital Technology Services (Business Name Registration No. 8564351), ("we") and the school that creates a workspace ("the school"), represented by the person who signs up as its owner. By creating a workspace, the owner confirms they may accept these terms for the school. Staff and parents who use the service on the school's behalf must also follow the acceptable use rules below.
2. The service and the Free plan
PrimeCrux helps schools set up their classes and grading, enter and review scores, publish results, issue verifiable report cards and give parents access to them.
The Free plan costs nothing and includes:
- Up to 70 students
- Up to 7 staff accounts
- 50 text messages a month to parents without email
- Unlimited emails
- Every feature: setup, score entry, review and publishing, report cards with QR verification, and parent access
We may change the Free plan's limits or features. We will tell schools at least 30 days before a change that reduces them, and a school that is already above a new limit keeps its existing records.
3. The school's responsibilities
- Enter accurate information and have a lawful basis for the student, parent and staff information it enters, including consent where the law requires it.
- Decide who in the school may enter scores, approve and publish results, and keep that up to date as staff join and leave.
- Keep log-ins private, use two-step verification for owners and administrators, and tell us promptly about any suspected misuse.
- Answer requests from parents, students and staff about their information, with our help where needed.
4. Results and report cards
Results, positions, comments and report cards are the school's decisions. We provide the tools to calculate them according to the school's own grading setup and keep a verifiable record, but the school is responsible for checking its grading setup and the results it publishes.
Published results can be changed only through a correction with a reason, approved by an authorised person. Report cards are frozen when issued; a correction issues a new version and marks the old one as replaced.
5. Support access
To help a school, our support staff may open a read-only view of it, with a written reason, for at most 2 hours at a time. Every session and every record viewed is logged and visible to the school's owners. We change a school's information only with the school's time-limited, logged permission. See our privacy policy.
6. Acceptable use
Nobody may use PrimeCrux to:
- break the law or store unlawful content;
- try to reach another school's information or get around our security;
- send messages that are not about the school's own students and results;
- overload, copy, resell or reverse-engineer the service.
We may suspend access that breaks these rules, telling the school why unless the law or safety prevents it.
7. Your information
The school owns its information. We process it only to provide the service, as set out in our privacy policy and data processing agreement, which form part of these terms.
8. Availability and changes to the service
We aim to keep PrimeCrux available and reliable and we back up information regularly, but we cannot promise the service will never be interrupted. We may improve or change features; we will tell schools in advance about changes that significantly affect them.
9. Ending the service
A school may stop using PrimeCrux at any time. We may end a school's use with 30 days' notice, or straight away for a serious breach of these terms. When the service ends, we give the school a reasonable chance to download its information before we delete it, as described in the data processing agreement.
10. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability to a school on the Free plan is limited to ₦100,000. (This section will be finalised with our lawyer.)
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We will try to settle any disagreement by talking first; if that fails, the courts of Nigeria will decide.
12. Changes to these terms and contact
We will tell schools about important changes at least 30 days before they take effect. For questions about these terms, contact us at the contact address published on our contact page before launch.
